Here are some of the most charming destinations to stroll through during the season.

Flower fields open for tourist visits in Brazil

Holambra flower fields, São Paulo

Known as the “City of Flowers,” Holambra is famous for its colorful flower fields, especially tulips. During Expoflora, an annual event held in the city, the fields are open for visitation, offering a wonderful experience for the whole family with floral arrangement exhibitions and traditional dances.

Did you know that Holambra is responsible for 50% of the flower market in Brazil and receives, on average, one million tourists annually? The municipality offers other tourist routes such as the Deck of Love, Vitória Régia square, traditional restaurants on Dória Vasconcelos street, and the United Peoples Windmill.

To visit the flower fields in Holambra, we recommend hiring local tourism agency services, which organize guided tours through the plantations. Additionally, during Expoflora, the fields are open to the public. Remember that this year’s event begins on August 30.

Fazenda Akã Lavandário, Bahia

Fazenda Akã Essential Oils, located in Bahia, is an ideal destination for lavender lovers. The property stands out for its vast plantation, open for visitation. You can stroll through the fields, pick fresh lavender, and enjoy a café that serves products made from the flower.

To visit Fazenda Akã, we recommend planning ahead. The location can be visited both independently and through tours organized by tourism agencies in the region.

Serra de Ibiapaba, Ceará

Serra de Ibiapaba, located in Ceará state, houses Brazil’s largest rose plantation, making it an unmissable tourist attraction for those fascinated by these flowers. This region is responsible for a large part of the Northeast’s ornamental plant production. Rose cultivation there is a notable example of adaptation to the local climate.

Lavender fields in Cunha, São Paulo

Cunha, located in São Paulo state, is a destination that has gained fame among traveling families, mainly for its beautiful lavender fields. The city offers a spectacular view of mountains framed by lavender fields.

The Lavandário is one of the region’s main attractions. You can walk among the lavender and appreciate the landscape, while enjoying a café that serves products made from the flower. To visit Cunha’s Lavandário, we recommend planning your visit during operating hours, usually on weekends and holidays.

Near the Lavandário is the Contemplário, a lesser-known and more tranquil space, with plantations of lavender, rosemary, lemongrass, and other aromatic plants, which enchants with the opportunity to actually walk among the vegetation. The location offers a very sensory experience, allowing you to stroll through gardens, participate in aromatherapy workshops, and learn more about lavender cultivation. The Contemplário also has a shop that offers handmade products made with lavender, such as essential oils, soaps, and scented sachets.
